The greatest island of Cyclades

In the heart of the Cyclades lies our island, the largest and most fertile island of the Cyclades complex, which in itself is a multifaceted choice of activities and pleasures for the lucky visitors.

The all-white Chora of Naxos welcomes the thousands of travelers who arrive on the island at the entrance of the port, on the islet of Palatia we meet the most famous attraction of the island, the Portara, the marble gate of an unfinished temple dedicated to Apollo.

The Towers

Characteristic of the island are the numerous towers that testify to the Venetian presence on the island, as Naxos was the seat of the Duchy of the Aegean

Pýrgos Bazaíou

It's one of the most recognizable post-Byzantine monuments of the island and is particularly popular for the cultural events, which are hosted in its premises, every summer.

It is basically a part of the castle of Sanoudos in the country of Naxos and the only surviving tower of the 12 that originally protected the castle of Naxos from Frankish rule in the Aegean.

It is of the most well-preserved towers of Naxos, was built around 1600 and has an imposing shape while offering an amazing view of Naxos Town.

It is one of the many Venetian towers of Naxos, a remnant of the island's Frankish rule. Although it is quite smaller and unfortified, it looks more like a 17th century Venetian tower house.

Unique Paths for hiking lovers

A number of different ecosystems have developed on the island that you can get to know by following the marked paths to every corner of the island (Chora-Melanes-Halki, Halki-Danakos-Apiranthos, Skado-Apollonas etc)

The route is of superb beauty from Apeiranthos to Moutsouna beach through the old mills, dreamlike images and unique landscapes accompany you on your way to the sea. 

In addition, the highest mountain of Cyclades, the Zas (alt. 1004 m.), and Fanari (altitude 908 m.) offer to hiking and mountain bicycling lovers distinct emotions. Going up to Za, a stop at the homonym is required cave, at an altitude of 628 m., with the impressive stalagmites, place of worship of Zeus during ancient times.

The beaches

The beaches of Naxos present a wide variety and are expected to satisfy even the most demanding visitor.

Agios Prokopios

It is the most famous beach of the island with great distinctions from international tourism magazines. Sandy 1.2 km long beach that stretches from East to West and is ideal for children.

Sandy beach which, due to its northerly winds, is considered ideal for fans of wind surfing and kite surfing. The beach is not suitable for beginner swimmers due to strong sea currents.

Agia Anna

Awarded with a blue flag, the sandy beach Agia Anna is essentially a continuation of Agios Prokopios to the southwest. The beach is well organized with a beach bar etc.

Kastraki

Our villas are located in the small tourist resort of Kastraki, which is approximately 15 kilometers south of the town of Naxos (Chora), on the southern part of the west coast of the island.

The beach in front of the villas is adjacent to that of Mikri Vigla.

About 2 kilometers east of the settlement you will find the Venetian castle "Pyrgos Oskelou", one of the few towers of Naxos that were built near the sea. This particular tower dates from the 17th century and is distinguished by its considerable height and strong defensive character.
